You are a PRINCESS!

"Act the way you'd like to be
and soon you'll be the way you act."
Leonard Cohen

I've heard this advice in many variations.
I was listening to a video of Neil Gaiman
 giving a commencement speech.
He said that if you are afraid to do something,
think of someone you think who would do
a good job and act like them.

Wouldn't it be better if we knew the truth
of who we are,
then we would be acting from
the best of ourselves?

 If nothing ever changed,
there would be no butterflies.

We are always growing
and changing,
transforming.
Let's be more intentional
about our changing!
"A woman's true beauty is in her soul."
Do you know who you really are?

You are a PRINCESS!
You are the daughter of the KING!

You are God's work of art!
He took great care in forming you!
Isn't life a wonderful fairytale?
Only it's not a fairytale!
One day we will join our Father, the King,
and live in His Kingdom forever!

  2. Beautiful thoughts. This acting and the masks we wear, it's all so hard. Seems like we can only act the way we want to be by being with the One we want to be like so He can act through us. :)

  4. Yes, I often think that our love for fairy tales stems from the Father Himself putting a longing for His Kingdom, our inheritance as children of the King, in our hearts! Love your sweet artwork... :) makes me want to get drawing again!

  5. I know I am a blessed "princess"... w/o His kindness, acceptance of me, caring and lifting me up higher and higher. W/O His "loveliness" I would have been in the opposite direction. I'm a very grateful cookie, so to speak.

    Thanks for sharing.
