More about the prize:
The magazine’s name, The Word Among Us, comes from the Prologue to the Gospel of John: “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father” (John 1:14). This passage reflects the vision and purpose of our publication: To be an instrument of the Spirit whose desire is to manifest Jesus’ presence in and to the children of God. In this way, we hope to contribute to the church’s ongoing mission of proclaiming the gospel to the world and growing ever more deeply in our love for the Lord.

Throughout its history, The Word Among Us has continued to encourage its readers to experience God’s presence in scripture and prayer and thus receive the grace of the Spirit more deeply in their lives.

If you're from outside the Philippines, we can't send this magazine to you every month so you can win a Cross Pendant from us!

This cross is specially designed by Papemelroti artisans.  It's got an attractive glazed finish that will last for years.  Wear it as a radical sign of your devotion to Christ. It says "He died for me, I live for Him".

Fill up the rafflecopter form below and follow the instructions.  It's really easy!  Extra points available as well!

  1. In the past 2012, one of the blessings I cherished is the gift of Health. My family's health and mine were all OK, no major problems and hope it continues the next years to come.

  3. The year 2012 was one of transition for the family, since we joined my husband whose promotion required that he be based in the province. There were many trials but with God's help and blessing, we weathered all these. What matters is that we are together and for this, we thank God.

  4. For 2012, I receive the gift of reconciliation. My ultimate wish to God was to be reconciled with my younger sister, and after 2 years of not getting along, we finally settled our misunderstanding. All thanks to Him!

  6. I think 2012 has brought me the best and the worst days of my life. But then, as I look back, I realized that God has been with me through the good and bad. He used all those circumstances to mold me and teach me. Although I feel regretful at times for what has been past mistakes, I am still grateful that the God I'm serving is a great God. He is ever faithful, merciful, loving, and gracious. Every day of my 2012 was a blessing because God was with me, and He still is :)

  7. Last 2012, I guess my biggest blessing would be the chance to have a stronger faith. It was last year, when God taught me that He has a plan for me, and I don't have to worry myself. I just have to follow His will, and everything will surely be fine. :D

  10. This past year 2012, blessings from God overflowed not just on me but for my family also even though there are bad things that happened and I thank Him for everything.
Specifically, one that I would remember the most is that my friends and I (SYZ groupname) joined a Public Service Ad Campaign for Avon: Domestic Violence Against Women. Unfortunately, we didn't win any awards but grateful that we've been chosen as 1 of the 12 finalists among 52 aspiring contestants. That experiences we had is a great moment to remember.

There so many blessings came last 2012.. my very cute niece baby Wrenee was born healthy, my brother made it to work in US and i got a new job here in Ortigas! I was also blessed with a loving partner whom we both share the same passion of travelling in and out the country. God is so good He always provides us with food on the table and good health all the days of 2012, and I am sure He will continue to shower us all His blessings.

  13. I have spent most of my life doing things out of responsibility to others that I tended to ignore the things I wanted to do for myself. I would forego my sleep and health to accomplish all my tasks. In 2012, I learned to take things lightly, enjoy life, celebrate the little things, and above all, love myself. :)

There's so much to be thankful for with all the blessings year 2012 has brought upon me and my family. First, I'm very thankful for the health of my family, especially my lola who's now 84. Despite her various medical conditions, we thank God that we can still get to be with her. Second, the health of my Dad, which despite of his Parkinson's disease, we still get to have the "good days." Third, the health of my mom and brother who stands as my dad's primary caregivers.
Lastly, I am grateful that we were able to open our cafe and has become an avenue to be a blessing to others.

  16. Our biggest blessing was the chance to move back home in 2012. We have had a few financial issues since moving, but we have no doubt that it was God's timing for us to move, and he has us back here for a reason. Because of the move, we are learning to be more frugal, and improving relationships along the way.

I think the best blessing I received last year was being so close with my blockmates, after 4 long years of being classmates. I never expected we will all be this close today as a whole class. I'm thankful because even if it came late (we're on our last year), it still happened. I'm so glad to have found a bunch of great people I'll treasure all my life.

  18. The biggest blessing I received this past 2012 is when I gained a lot of friends when I lose one friend, Yes, I do believe now to the saying "When one door closes, another opens. I lose a friend 2 years ago because she betrayed on me. It really hurts when you lose a friend but I need to accept it because it happened already and also at least I knew about it, these friends I gained last year was one hella crazy group of friends! We call ourselves as a team because we jive easily and most of our interest, likes and dislikes are the same! I thank Lord for giving me such a nice and thoughtful new friends, I promise to myself, I'm not going to lose a friend again and will treasure them forever. :)
